Ayr & District Beekeepers hold an open honey show each year.
2023 Honey Show
Details of the 2023 honey show can be found below:
Entries should be made using the following link - https://adbka.org.uk/2023-HoneyShow
Entries will be staged and judged on Saturday 26th August.
On Sunday 27th August we have a public display between 11am and 4pm where the judged entries will be available for viewing and we will have honey for sale and our open hive display.
Note: There is no public access on Saturday 26th to the staging area unless you have entered the show.

- Two 454g Jars Light Coloured Honey (liquid)
- Two 454g Jars Medium Coloured Honey (liquid)
- Two 454g Jars Dark Coloured Honey (liquid)
- Two 454g Jars Set Honey (any type)
- Two 454g Jars Ling Heather Honey
- Two 454g Jars Honey any type not in classes 1 to 5
Trophies
Ayr & District Beekeepers’ Association Trophy
To be awarded for the highest number of points accrued in classes 1 to 30 by a member of Ayr & District Beekeepers Association.
Ayr & District Beekeepers’ Association Open Trophy
To be awarded to any person for the highest number of points accrued in classes 1 to 30.
Harry Scott Trophy
To be awarded for the best exhibit in the honey show.
Ayr Centenary Honey Trophy
To be awarded to any person for the highest number of points accrued in classes 1 – 9.
Ayr Centenary Wax Trophy
To be awarded to any person for the highest number of points accrued in classes 10 – 15.
Ayr Centenary Baking Trophy
To be awarded to any person for the highest number of points accrued in classes 22 – 28.
All trophies to be retained for one year only.
